Newstead & District Swimming Pool, Newstead Community Hall and car park between the Hall and the Pool

Start: Sat 3rd March 2 p.m. | End: Sat 3rd March

Water Hole - a celebration of all things swimming pool from 2pm on 3 March through to late evening. The Regional Centre for Culture is presenting this event in Newstead in the Mount Alexander Shire. The pool opens at 2pm and entry on 3 March is free.

The afternoon's activities will kick off with a parade of children from Newstead P.S. arriving at approx. 2.15pm A welcome by the Traditional Owners will be followed by music and other activities taking place in the Community Hall, Mechanics Institute and in the Northern end of Panmure St. (including the pool and car park)

Activities include :

Heart - illuminated art sculpture display by Felipe Reynolds of Airena
Mount Alexander Shire documentary screening - film
Choreographed procession co-ordinated by local artist Vanessa Case and the Newstead P.S. involving 60 children
Compliments Caravan - Artistic Musical display
Welcome to Country & Smoking - Cultural performance
Itchy Scabs - Live performance
Petal and Pet - Musical performance
Seduceaphones - Musical performance
Everybody Dance Now - Community Dance Activity
Aqua Divas - Dance Performance
In the Deep End - Pool performance by Asking For Trouble
