Event Calendar

Dingo Conservation Park Chewton, via shuttle service.

Start: Sun 22nd April 2 p.m. | End: Sun 22nd April 6 p.m.

Hamish and Tehree Gordon of Dingo Conservation Australia invite you to join them for a relaxed afternoon with the dingos and other wildlife at the inaugural Songs in the Sticks Music Festival.

Songsters include yodelling divas Petal and Pet, Triple J Unearthed multi-instrumentalist Daniel Aaron, the former Dingo (band member) himself, Broderick Smith and charismatic live performer Skyscraper Stan, fresh from a tour of Australia and New Zealand.

Due to the nature of the site, this festival is for people 15 years old and above and is not suited for people with limited mobility. Over a number of years, the Gordons have transformed what was a dusty, rocky site into a lush wildlife sanctuary. Visitors are invited to bring picnic rugs to spread out and while the day away in this beautiful setting.

Parking is extremely limited so access is via a shuttle bus service only. Buses will depart frequently from the Chewton Soliders’ Memorial Park (soccer ground) from 1pm and return there at the conclusion of the event as well as during the course of the day.

Tickets cost $20 per head plus a small booking fee and can be purchased online at www.trybooking.com Cost includes entry to the wildlife sanctuary and the shuttle bus service. Telephone enquiries to 0413 563 404.
