MALDON'S LIVING TREASURES : PRE-1852 EUCALYPTS

Part of the National Trust Heritage Festival will be the 37th Maldon Focus Quarterly Conversation with a difference ! Take an easy walk and a short bus - car pooling trip to discover some of the pre-European settlement eucalypts which are still surviving in Maldon and have environmental and historical significance. Along the way learn about estimating tree age and the possible reasons for these 'Living Treasures' surviving the gold mining activities in Maldon in contrast to most of the forest surrounding Maldon.
