CASTLEMAINE SPRING BALL
Castlemaine Town Hall

Start: Sat 28th Oct. 8 p.m. | End: Sat 28th Oct.

Do yourself a favour and head to one of the Castlemaine community's most-loved social events on Saturday 28 October. The annual Castlemaine Community House Spring Ball fundraiser will once again be held at the Castlemaine Town Hall and promises to be a fun-filled night of music and dancing, all for a worthwhile cause.

A highlight, and an integral element of the Ball, is the theme. This year we will be celebrating the Australian TV music show COUNTDOWN, which aired from November 1974 until July 1987.

COUNTDOWN was the most popular music program in Australian TV history and was instrumental in the worldwide success of a number of important overseas acts including Madonna, Blondie, ABBA, Meat Loaf and Cyndi Lauper. There will be live music by tribute band, SPIN; DJ Dogface will be playing some tunes and there will be numerous other surprise happenings. Local radio station, Main FM, will be broadcasting live from the event – providing a blow by blow description of the fab costumes as guests arrive.

The Castlemaine Community House has been bringing people together to connect and strengthen our community since 1985. They provide social, educational and recreational programs in Castlemaine and surrounds in a welcoming and supportive environment. Profits from the Spring Ball are used to support their many services to the community such as the Music Playgroup, IT support, Community Lunch and the Stronger Families Program, all of which operate with limited or no funding.

Tickets for the Spring Ball are on sale online via Try Booking link below or at the Community House, Green Goes the Grocer and Maine Shoes and cost $40/$30 concession pre-event. Early bird ticket purchasers are also in the running to win a $60 food and beverage voucher for the Bold Café. Tickets cost $50/$40 at the door on the night if not sold out before. Keep up to date with the latest details via the Castlemaine Community House Facebook page.
