The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion will be the same size and design as the Great Stupa of Gyantse which is 50 metres (164 feet) wide along each side at its base and nearly 50 metres high. This will make it the largest Stupa in the Western World. A Stupa is the most sacred monument in the Buddhist world. The Great Stupa is an accredited tourism operator and a popular tourist attraction in Bendigo. It is the largest Buddhist monument in Australia and final home for the largest gem quality Jade Buddha in the world. A collection of sacred relics and statues are on display. Guided tours are available daily.

The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion is wheelchair friendly and has accessible toilet facilities.

Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.    Saturday & Sunday 10.30am-5pm.
